Zheng Anderson originally came from mainland China with a law degree from the China People’s University in Beijing and after the completion of a two-year Master in law in International Trade Law from the China University of Law and Political Science in Beijing.

In 1987, she received her LL.M. (in Co-operative Law) from the College of Law, Saskatchewan University. In 1992, she completed her accreditation with the College of Law, Ottawa University and received an LL.B.

Zheng Anderson’s legal profession started in the early 80s with China’s International Trade Tribunal national office in Beijing. Between 1988 and 1993, she worked for Russell & DuMoulin, the largest law firm in Vancouver, Ogilvie Renault, the largest law firm in Quebec and Gowling, Strathy & Henderson, the largest law firm in Ottawa. From working with three prominent firms, she gained much exposure to corporate law, immigration law, international trade law, intellectual property law, real estate law, franchise law, family law, malpractice law, estate law and business commercial law, etc.

Since February, 1994, Zheng Anderson has been a sole practitioner in Ottawa running her own law firm. She is a barrister and solicitor in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada, Ontario Bar Association and the County of Carleton Law Association.

Zheng Anderson has also served on the Board of Directors for the Ottawa Children’s Aid Society, the Ottawa Mandarin Chinese School and was legal counsel for the Chinese Students’ Association of Canada in 1994-1996.

Zheng Anderson’s mother tongue is Mandarin Chinese and she has served mainly the Mandarin speaking community and other ethnic communities in Ottawa. She is devoted to providing thorough and efficient professional service to her clients and has built her practice by reference to her professional reputation.
